As a member of the Diocese of London, our presence in the community of Windsor and Essex County dates back to 1767, or put differently, 239 years and counting. Over that time, we have continuously evolved our operations, from the opening of Heavenly Rest Cemetery in 1929, to currently providing unsurpassed, state of-the-art facilities and services now and forever.

It should be noted that while Heavenly Rest Family of Catholic Cemeteries serves Windsor and Essex County, we are part of a much larger Family of Catholic Cemeteries serving the entire diocese of London. Under the guidance of Paul Culliton, Executive Director Diocese of London Cemeteries, our goal is to provide a dignified final resting place and to minister to the cemetery needs of the community. This is inspired by our Christian belief in the Mystery of Death and Resurrection.

Today, we are truly a family of seven Catholic cemeteries committed to helping people of all faiths. Simply, we are here to respond to the needs of our families, whether it is a time when death has already occurred, or – more ideally – in assisting you with preplanning prior to death.

Most importantly, I would ask that you view our Family Service Advisors section – where our highly specialized staff, with more than a century of experience combined, can be contacted directly. One-on-one appointments can be arranged in your home or at our office, seven days a week. Likewise, our staff is available for group presentations.

Heavenly Rest Family of Catholic Cemeteries also offers the services of a full-time staff Pastoral Minister, Sister Barb Vaughan, who provides grieving support. Monthly memorial masses for the deceased are scheduled the first Tuesday of the month at 4:30 pm, at Resurrection Mausoleum Chapel - Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
